When Do I Need an Endodontist?

Endodontists are dentists who have had advanced specialty education in diagnosis and root canal treatment. They treat these types of problems every day and use their special training and experience in treating challenging situations. Endodontists’  training, tools and techniques have advanced significantly in recent years and today, root canal treatment is often no more uncomfortable than having a filling.

At West Coast Endodontics, we use advanced technology, such as surgical operating microscopes, ultrasonics and digital imaging, to perform these special services.

Will the treatment be painful?

Dr. Vy and her staff take every measure to ensure that you are comfortable. We use anesthetic to numb a specific area of your mouth. Numbness typically subsides after two or three hours.
